The specific security and anti-intrusion Nice pilot equipment consists of permanent devices allowing a reinforcement of the daily security along the northern side of the Promenade de Anglais.
The innovative aspects of the equipment are that the steel cables used are similar to those installed for securing the cliffs. These security equipments will complement the urban development planning set up as part of the sustainable transformation project of the Promenade des Anglais, without distorting the image of this promenade through the landscape integration of devices.

The European Commissioner for Security, Julian King, was in Nice in November for the launch of the last part of the works to improve the security of the Promenade des Anglais financed by the European Commission.
